Abstract

This paper shows the contribution of screenwriter Ratko Đurović and director Velimir Stojanović to documentaries and short films in general and not only in Montenegrin cinematography; in fact, this duo was unique as they were reformers of Yugoslav film expression.

Radoslav T. Stanišić

Montenegro

Radoslav T. Stanišić, born in Podgorica, studied film directing in Prague and obtained his BA in 2000 from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts. Holds a Ph.D. in filmology since 2009. Works as a lecturer at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Cetinje. Writes film reviews for the Montenegrin newspaper Dan and the Niš-based film magazine Filaž. Employed at RT Montenegro, where he directed over a thousand TV shows. Author of the book Hrastovi koje ne obaraju: Ratko Durović – Velimir Stojanović. Received about 30 awards and recognitions. Selected filmography: documentary TV story Charles Bridge, tourism promotional film My Podgorica; documentaries: At the End of the Road, Destiny, Jaroslav Čermak and Montenegro, The Spiritual Poetics of Father Lazar, Home, The Cradle, High Oaks, Unadapted Film Count, The Last YU Film Romantic; short films: Simple Action, Thieves, One Night in December, Girl in a Blue Dress, Who's Sad, The Professional, The Chosen One.
