The main thesis of this paper is that life-forms which appear in contemporary new media art practices — Stelarc and Tissue & Art Culture are prominent examples — are impossible to think through the framework of traditional ontology. Conceptualization of different ontology is developed with the help of Deleuze and Guattari’s materialist philosophy of difference and event through which becomes possible to properly think these new life-forms.
