Miško Šuvaković

Miško Šuvaković (b. 1954, Belgrade) is a professor of applied aesthetics and theory of art and media, Faculty of Media and Communications, Belgrade (since 2015) and a former professor of applied aesthetics: Faculty of Music, Belgrade (1996–2015). He was a member of the conceptual art Group 143 (1975–80). He is a member of Slovenian Society of Aesthetics. He is a member of the Society for Aesthetics of Architecture and Visual Arts. He is a former president of the International Association for Aesthetics (IAA) 2019–22. He is the co-editor of Impossible Histories – Historical Avant-gardes, Neo-Avant-Gardes and Post-Avant-Gardes in Yugoslavia 1918–1991 (The MIT Press, 2003), and the author of Epistemology of Art (TkH Belgrade, Tanzquartier Vienna, 2008), The Clandestine Histories of the OHO Group (Zavod P.A.R.A.S.I.T.E., 2009) and The Neo-Aesthetics Theory (Hollitzer Verlag, 2017). His books in Serbian are: Konceptualna umetnost (MSUV, Novi Sad, 2008) and 3E: estetika, epistemologija i etika Spekuloativnih i De Re media (FMK, Beograd, 2020).
